The SteelSeries unit we tested was the TenKeyLess variant, but there’s a full-sized version as well. Our unit also has SteelSeries Brown switches that provide good tactile feedback, and It’s also available in clicky SteelSeries Blue and linear SteelSeries Red switches. On the other hand, the Razer is a full-sized keyboard with lower latency.
Conclusion. Well, that was a ton of information. We gave you a quick overview of Cherry MX colors, and broke down what clicky, linear, and tactile means, along with more details of each individual option. The main Cherry MX lineup consists of: Red, Black, Brown, Clear, Grey, Blue, and Green.
Brown Switch Known as the ‘middle-ground’ switch, the Brown Switch also has a tactile bump, and it is ideal for long hours typing. Brown switch also has the clicky sound but not as loud as the Blue Switch; it has become the most popular switch for writers. Although keyboard with Brown Switches is often more expensive than those feature Blue
The only switches I tried are Red (for like 20 seconds, just trying to press it randomly) Blue (Everytime, because it's the default keyboard on the cafe) I do like Blues especially the feedback even without the clicky sounds, just a bonus feature for me.. So yeah I heard Brown is just Blue without the clicky sound.
I have tried Outemu blues & outemu browns, they have the same actuation force, same feel, but the blue switch is clicky (the make a click sound) while the brown is only tactile (you can feel when it hits the actuation point but it doesn't make a click sound). Outemu also has a linear switch, the red one.
Final Word. When it comes to Cherry MX Speed Vs Brown it is really linear Vs tactile, these are two widely different switch variants. Both are a great option for gaming and typing, however, on paper, the Speed Silvers is the better option for gaming thanks to their lower actuation force and shorter pre/post-travel.
Generally speaking, White Switches are characterized by loud “clicks” and the strongest feedback; Red Switches are in-between; Brown Switches are the most quiet and provide the least amount of feedback.
Red Electrical Wires. In 220-volt circuits, red wires are the secondary live wires. Like black wires, they can also be used in switch legs. In addition, red wires are used to connect hardwired smoke detectors to the home’s power system. It’s possible to link two red wires together or a red wire to a black wire.
